Here’s how to export game data to a spreadsheet from GDE. Once your export is complete, GDE will remember your settings so you won’t need to go through the wizard again.

If you’d like to clear your settings and export to a different spreadsheet, select the Window→Game Data Editor→Clear Import & Export Settings from the menu.

Export Google Spreadsheet

You can export to an existing spreadsheet or create a new spreadsheet. Note: If you choose an existing sheet, the spreadsheet will be replaced with the data you currently have defined in GDE.

  1. Choose "Update existing Google Spreadsheet" or "Upload new Google Spreadsheet" in the Window→Game Data Editor→Export Spreadsheet Menu. If you have already authenticated with google, go to Step #5.

  2. Choose "Go to Google Authenticate URL." The google authenticate prompt should open in your browser.

  3. Grant Access to Game Data Editor. The google authenticate will ask you to grant ReadOnly access to your google spreadsheets. Click Accept to continue the authentication process.

  4. Copy the access code from your browser and paste it into Set GDE Access Code window.

  5. Select the Spreadsheet to Export and click "Upload"

    Or if you are creating a new spreadsheet, enter the name and click "Upload".

  6. Done! Your data will now appear in GDE Editor and you will be able to read your data during runtime.

Export Local Spreadsheet

  1. Choose "Export to Local File" in the Window→Game Data Editor→Export Spreadsheet Menu.

  2. If you want to export to an existing spreadsheet, browse to the spreadsheet on your harddrive or local network. Or If you’d like to export to a new spreadsheet, enter the full path. The click "Export"

  3. Done! Your data will now appear in GDE Editor and you will be able to read your data during runtime.
